Blossom Catering Company LLC needs an Executive Chef

for its Bay Area operations (Head-Quartered in 1650 Soscol Ave, Napa, CA)

 

Blossom Catering Company LLC is looking for an Executive Chef with an Associate’s degree.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research, Develop, Design, test market, and execute menus based on Mediterranean cuisine and diet with an emphasis on wine pairing.

  • All while maintaining a set food cost and keeping to a preset budget, maintaining a positive work environment and keeping a tight schedule.

  • Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes or menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients or the likely number of customers.

  • Supervises activities of workers engaged in preparing, cooking, portioning and packaging ready-to-serve food specialties.

  • Supervise, coordinate, instruct cooks or other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food.

  • Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.

  • Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.

  • Order or requisition food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.

  • Check the quantity and quality of products received.

  • Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.

  • Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.

  • Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.

 

Salary from $ 67,392 per year/ 40-hour week 

Place of Interview:  Sonoma, CA 

Job sites: Sonoma, Napa, San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Alameda, Contra Costa, Sacramento, and Yolo counties.

  • Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts.

  • The following is also required:

    • Valid Driver's License required.

    • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification or its equivalent required.

    • CPR and first aid knowledge required.

    • Basic knowledge of Wine required.

    • Work 60 hours per week from approximately 10:00am to 11:00pm, may be required.

    • Working Saturdays and Sundays usually required.

    • Flexible schedule may be required (irregular days off required).

    • Knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine required.

    • This position requires traveling, as food is prepared at the kitchen in Sonoma, and served / catered to various counties as follows: Sonoma; Napa; San Francisco; Marin, San Mateo; Santa Clara; Santa Cruz; Alameda; Contra Costa; Sacramento; and Yolo.
