Born and raised in Israel, Itamar discovered his love for hospitality and cooking from Bedouins while traveling in the desert during high school.  It is this combined passion for cooking and hosting that never left him even through his divergent path working in government. He started cooking professionally in a starred restaurant in San Francisco under chef Roland Passot while waiting to begin his studies at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley.  Upon graduation, he opened Blossom Catering with Nate.
